Pascuales is one of Mexico's heaviest beach breaks, a black-sand river-mouth setup near Tecomán in Colima. Its thick, hollow, close-out-prone barrels are often compared to Puerto Escondido, and it hosts an IBC world bodyboarding tour event. It is strictly for advanced surfers and bodyboarders, with strong currents and heavy shorebreak. Best from May to October on south swells, early in the morning before the onshore winds.
