A stretch of over a dozen point and reef breaks along Sumatra's southwest coast, including Ujung Bocur, Jenny's Right, and the heavier Jimmy's Right/Left, offering world-class quality with a fraction of the crowds found in Bali or the Mentawais. The area developed a small dedicated surf-camp scene from the 2000s onward as traveling surfers pushed south along the Sumatran coast in search of uncrowded reef setups. Suited to intermediate-to-advanced surfers; best season is April-October with SW groundswells and ENE offshore trades.
