Cloudbreak is a long, powerful left-hand reef in the open ocean off Tavarua Island, reachable only by boat. It handles everything from fun head-high walls to some of the biggest paddle surfing ever seen, with fast, hollow sections over shallow coral. A WSL Championship Tour venue, it is best for advanced to expert surfers. The southeast trade winds blow offshore, and the prime season runs from April to October.
