A roughly 30 km stretch of open beach breaks and jetty-formed peaks just across the Tagus from Lisbon, and the most consistent surf zone for the capital's local surfers. Numbered jetty markers ('Bela Vista', 'Tarquínio', etc.) split the coast into distinct, uncrowded peaks compared to central Lisbon spots. Works for all levels depending on the section and size, with cleaner, more powerful waves on bigger NW/W swells. Offshore winds blow from the northeast.
