Costa Nova is a beach break near Aveiro, known for its striped fishermen's houses, where jetties shape punchy, wedging peaks. Since 2004 it has hosted the Miss Quebramar Cup, a women's world bodyboarding tour event. It picks up plenty of North Atlantic swell and suits intermediate surfers and bodyboarders. Best in autumn and spring, in the morning with easterly offshore winds.
