A long black-sand beach on the east side of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, just south of the city centre and about 7 km from Las Canteras. Open beach-break peaks over sand and volcanic stone pick up north-east swells and the trade-wind windswell, so it often has waves when the north coast is flat or messy. Best early before the trades pick up, and best for intermediates and up.
